The “We Train to Buy” initiative is our comprehensive and highly specialized training program designed for farmers, entrepreneurs, and organizations. Simply put, we train interested parties how to grow Hemp for Textiles, the parties grow to our specification, and we buy and pay the parties based on the quality of crop supplied as an accredited and trained farmer who we will be buying/Offtaking from.
It provides a step-by-step learning experience starting from hemp cultivation, processing to the stages of textile manufacturing.

TRAINING COURSE DETAILS
Course Fee: R 9 500.00 per person (Group Discounts available).
Course Duration: 1 Full Day Session: Hands-on activities during a physical classroom & farm visit showcasing Hemp cultivation, Harvesting, Retting, and basic Primary processing methods from 10:30am to 14:00pm.
Course location & Content:
Hemp Fiber Farm in Walkerville, Johannesburg
During your training session, you will experience:
- Farm facility tour & demonstrations of the crop, how its planted, harvested and processed for Fiber, Hurd, Seed & Oil.
- Live Demonstration of Hemp Fabrics, Yarn, Clothing items, Bags, Hurd and Seed oil made from Hemp from our Farm.
- Trainees receive a copy of our GRHI Training Handbook (A step by step guide to cultivate Hemp for textiles - Capex, Yield & return per Ha Financials included).
- Our Training Center has a coffee & refreshments station, a light lunch is also included during the session.
- Trainees also go through our GRHI certification reward ceremony, get their NQF Level 3 & 5 certificate & Off take agreement as proof of their Membership
- We provide post training support & site visits to better plan for the coming planting season based on your capacity.
- Free Trial Seed for planting & Hemp Permit Application assistance.
